Commissioning of a Military-Significance Facility

Brief Project Description

The project involved comprehensive commissioning (Cx) for the renovation and reconstruction of a military-significance facility with a gross area of approximately 1,530 m².

The facility includes work halls, administrative spaces, and technical systems. Our role was Commissioning Authority (CxA), responsible for planning, verification, and final approval of correct and safe operation of all relevant systems.

Challenge

As critical military infrastructure, the facility required exceptionally high reliability, safety, and traceability. Commissioning followed demanding international standards (ANSI/ASHRAE/IES 202, ASHRAE 189.1, UFC 1-200-02).

Integration of multiple systems (HVAC&R, vehicle exhaust extraction, BAS, and electrical systems) added complexity.

Solution and Benefits

A structured commissioning process was implemented, including development of commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance tests. Integrated system testing verified proper response under real operating conditions.

All findings were documented, deficiencies resolved, and a final commissioning report issued. The result is a technically verified facility meeting stringent safety, reliability, and operational efficiency requirements.
