What is forensic engineering?

Forensic engineering investigates why materials, products, structures, or systems fail to perform as intended. The goal is to determine the causes of failure, prevent recurrence and improve performance.

In cases that have already proceeded to litigation, the parties or the court may turn to forensic engineers when seeking expert opinion or valuation (quantification of damages). If nominated by the court, forensic engineer serves in a capacity of an objective expert witness.

Our expertise & scope of services

At LENASSI we offer forensic engineering services of mechanical installations. With our knowledge of design, construction and operation of the building’s systems, we are well equipped to recognize the cause of problems, identify contributing factors and provide sound solutions.

Our team includes a court appointed expert witness and appraiser for mechanical installations and equipment.

At client’s request, our opinions also provide detailed lists and descriptions of remedial measures, which – when implemented – can significantly reduce the risk of recurrence.
